Abstract
Bielovodska dolina valley belongs to the longest valleys of the Vysoke Tatry Mountains. There are relatively the most well-preserved forests in this valley with the least human influence on the forest timberlin e in the whole Tatry Mountains. In the supramountain vegetation degree ceder pine-spruce stands occurred, which have been included to the as sociation Pine cembrae-Piceetum Myczkowski et Lesinski 1974. In this s tudy we are giving an outline of Pinus cembra spread in Bielovodska do lina valley in relation to geological and geomorphological factors as well as a phytocoenological characteristic of ceder pine-spruce forest s.
