Abstract
We present here the synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of a new 2 2' modified p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene, diethyl utyl-26,28-bis-(2-meth oxyethoxy)pentacyclo[19.3.1. 1(3,7). 19(26),-21,23-dodecaene-25,27-diy ldioxy}diacetate, bearing glycol methyl ether and ethyl ester function al groups. H-1 NMR spectra of this compound indicated that it has a co ne conformation; this is confirmed by the crystallographic study.
