Abstract
Peroxisomes were isolated from octadecane-grown cells of Candida malto sa. Peroxisomal lipids were compared with lipids of other cellular org anelles with respect to their content and composition. Peroxisomes pos sessed an acetyltransferase activity, which was not a result of their contamination by other cellular structures.
