THE CORINE LAND-COVER PROJECT IN SLOVAKIA

The CORINE Land Cover is the European Community project whose aim is t o create a consistent and compatible digital database of land cover of Europe on the scale 1:100 000 by application of satellite images. In 1993 the Slovak Republic joined this project. Institute of Geography o f the Slovak Academy of Sciences, is responsible for the first stage o f the project solution - the analogue interpretation of satellite imag es. The interpretation of images will be finished in July 1995.
