P. Barancok, EVALUATION OF SIGNIFICANT TAXA OCCURRENCE IN FLORA OF SLOVAKIA AND ITS APPLICATION TO LANDSCAPE ECOLOGICAL-STUDIES, EKOLOGIA-BRATISLAVA, 14, 1995, pp. 61-65
A great number of taxa occurring in Slovakia are put into a group of r
are, threatened and endemic plants. We can give to each of them a cert
ain value in regard of occurrence in our territory, endemism, binding
to smaller or larger territory, threat up to disappearance. Map bases
can be made on the base of these data for every territory of Slovakia,
which characterize these ones from the point of view occurrence of si
ngle plant groups. This map set enables also to characterize the terri
tory with regard to its rareness, inviolation, stability and diversity
conservation. On the other hand it is possible to characterize the gi
ven territory from the point of view of nature conservation needs and
to call attention to such territories, which till now do not belong to
any existing system of protected territories. An increasing attention
is required either in consequence of occurrence of rare, threatened a
nd endemic species, or in consequence of a strong anthropic pressure t
o a relatively natural and little violated and changed natural environ
ment.
