THE IMMUNOBIOLOGY AND CLINICAL-FEATURES OF PARANEOPLASTIC SYNDROMES

Several antineuronal antibodies have been round in patients with neuro logical paraneoplastic syndromes. In the past year the spectrum of cli nical manifestations associated with these antibodies has expanded. Ne w information on the characteristics of the inflammatory infiltrates i n the nervous system of affected patients, and on the function and dis tribution of the neuronal antigens has become available. Studies have examined the possible role of antibodies in the pathogenesis of parane oplastic disorders.
