Abstract
Egg sizes and body sizes of 43 egg-bearing rotifer species of numerous , mostly tropical, general have been recorded. Larger absolute egg vol umes have been found for larger rotifer species, but the increase was lower than expected in proportion to body size, i.e. the relative egg volume decreased with increasing body size. Obviously the relative inv estment per offspring is smaller in larger rotifer species.
