Abstract
This report gives general information on the consumption of batteries,
and nickel-cadmium storage and handling of spent batteries in Switzer
land, followed by detailed battery analyses; it considers finally the
environmental impact, due to the heavy metals from nickel-cadmium accu
mulators and other batteries.
