Jp. Hunstad, ADDRESSING DIFFICULT AREAS IN BODY CONTOURING WITH EMPHASIS ON COMBINED TUMESCENT AND SYRINGE TECHNIQUES, Clinics in plastic surgery, 23(1), 1996, pp. 57
The combined use of the tumescent and syringe techniques is a logical
choice in addressing difficult areas in body contouring. Each techniqu
e complements the other. The magnification of the deformity by the tum
escent technique allows for a more uniform and accurate contour correc
tion. The syringe technique provides precision and accuracy that furth
er contribute to body contouring refinement. The combined use of the t
umescent and syringe techniques has allowed greater refinement and pre
cision in achieving satisfactory body contouring and in minimizing com
plications associated with traditional techniques.
