The changes of the optical properties of gadolinium gallium garnet (GG
G) single crystals under the influence of electron flux with energy E(
e) = 3.5 MeV and reactor neutrons with fluences up to 3 x 10(17) cm-2
are investigated in this paper. The absorption, luminescence, and phot
oconductivity spectra are obtained. Assumptions about the nature of di
splacement defects in irradiated crystals are made on the basis of the
se spectra.
