J. Weizenecker et al., TM-169 NUCLEAR-MAGNETIC-RESONANCE AND MAGNETIC-SUSCEPTIBILITY OF THE SINGLET GROUND-STATE COMPOUND THULIUM DIDEUTERIDE, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 152(1-2), 1996, pp. 183-190
Thulium dideuteride samples with nominal composition TmD1.8 and TmD1.8
8, were prepared and characterized by the Tm-169 NMR (K-vV, T-1, T-2).
The crystal-field splitting and thus the measurement of the static ma
gnetic susceptibility and hyperfine enhancement factor of the singlet
ground state ion Tm3+ depends on the actual stoichiometry. The relaxat
ional influence of conduction electrons and excited 4f-levels for the
Tm nucleus can be distinguished.
