Abstract
Candida species are increasingly assuming; a pathogenic role in patien ts throughout the spectrum of immune competence. This case history doc uments a unique presentation of candidiasis with marked similarity to the zygomycoses in patients with diabetic, ketoacidosis and explores t he pathogenetic basis for both.
