Abstract
Various authors had observed the mucosubstances in the cardiac,, fundi c a-nd pyloric glands. Spicer and Sun (1967) in dog, Stemmerman (1967) in rat, Helander (1981) in man, Chandramouly and Rao (1984) and Kalit a and Chandramouly (1985) in buffalo. However, literature on the prese nce of various mucosubstances in the pyloric, fundic and cardiac gland s of Indian buffalo is still meagre. Therefore, an attempt has been ma de in the present investigation to elucidate the presence of various m ucosubstances.
