Abstract
Uterine torsion in mare is usually infrequent due to dorsally attached broad ligaments. In such cases foetus is usually dead and often the s ymptoms are mistaken for colic or indigestion (Roberts, 1971). A case of left side uterine torsion in a mare with some postural defect of fo etus, treated successfully, is reported.
