Abstract
Cases of actinomycosis, nocardiosis, and actinomycetoma are seen infre quently but consistently in the United States. When they are found, di agnosis can be difficult because of their resemblance to other bacteri al, mycobacterial, and fungal infections. This article reviews the cli nical presentation, therapy, and laboratory diagnosis of these actinom ycetales.
