The composition of the products formed in the reaction between primary
aliphatic alcohols and ethylene oxide was studied in the presence of
catalytic systems based on boron trifluoride and aluminum and titanium
alkoxides. It was shown that the distribution coefficient for the cat
alytic system under study was less than that for the catalysts used pr
eviously. Distribution coefficients for the products of oxyethylation
were calculated.
