A method of evaluating the distribution function for the nonuniform su
rface from the activation energies and preexponential factors of chemi
sorption and determining the coefficients of the isokinetic relationsh
ip from the moments of these distributions is suggested, The isokineti
c temperature and the logarithm of the rate constant for certain organ
osilicon compounds, chemisorbed from the gas phase on the surface of p
yrogenic silica at a given temperature, are shown to reflect the react
ivity of indicated compounds with respect to the active sites at the s
urface.
