Abstract
The title compound and other alkyl beta-glycosides 1a-g can be prepare d in one step from commercially available -deoxy-1,3,4,6-tetra-O-acety l-beta-D-glucopyranose (3) and simple alcohols using camphorsulfonic a cid as a promoter together with azeptropic removal of acetic acid.
