A new data base of 242 pulse width measurements near 1.4 GHz is statis
tically analyzed by means of Monte Carlo simulations. Different trial
distribution functions for inclination angle as well as different beam
shapes and radii are tested. We conclude that the inclination angle o
f the magnetic axis to the rotation axis is randomly distributed. The
beam is circular or slightly elliptical in longitude. The angular radi
us of the beam is bimodally distributed with P--1/2 dependence on puls
ar period for both inner and outer conal components. Latitudinal beam
elongation is definitely out of the question.
