Abstract
Gibberellin A(1) (GA(1)), GA(15), GA(19), GA(20), GA(29), GA(44), and
abscisic acid (ABA) were identified from vegetative shoots of Japanese
cherry (Prunus spachiana Kitamura f. ascendens Kitamura, Edo-higan) b
y full-scan GC-MS. GA(4), GA(9), GA(34), and GA(53) were also tetative
ly identified. The endogenous levels of these gibberellins and of ABA
were higher in the weeping cherry (P. spachiana Kitamura f. spachiana
cv. Plenorosea, Yaebeni-shidare) than in the normal cultivar (Edo-higa
n).
