Fx. Wu et Rw. Carr, TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE REACTION OF NO WITH CFCL2CH2O2 AND CH3CFCLO2 RADICALS, International journal of chemical kinetics, 28(1), 1996, pp. 9-19
The reaction of NO with the peroxy radical CFCl2CH2O2, and with CH3CFC
lO2 was investigated at 8-20 torr and 263-321 K by UV flash photolysis
of CFCl2CH3/O-2/NO gas mixtures. The kinetics were determined from ob
servations of the growth rate of the CFCl2CH2O radical and the decay r
ate of NO by time-resolved mass spectrometry. The temperature dependen
ce of the bimolecular rate coefficients, with their statistical uncert
ainties, can be expressed as (2.9 +/- 0.7)e((435+/-96)/T) X 10(-12) cm
(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), or (1.3 +/- 0.2) (T/300)(-(1.5+/-0.2)) X 10(-1
1) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) for NO + CFCl2CH2O2, and (3.3 +/- 0.6)e((5
16+/-73)/T) X 10(-12) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), or (2.0 +/- 0.3) (T/30
0)(-(1.8+/-0.3)) X 10(-11) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) for NO + CH3CFClO2
, No pressure dependence of the rate coefficients could be detected ov
er the 8-20 torr range investigated. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
