ESR spectra of paramagnetic thallium centers in gamma-irradiated powde
rs of thallium doped alkali nitrates are studied at 77 K. Tl2+ centers
are formed due to gamma-irradiation at 77K. Principal g- and A-values
are calculated. In RbNO3, two chemically inequivalent sites are obser
ved at 77 K. The s- and p-character of Tl2+ have been calculated.
