Abstract
Initial AC susceptibility measurements on REBa(2)Cu(3)O(7-delta) (RE = Y, Er), Bi2Sr2CaC2O8+delta and HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+delta polycrystals are u sed in order to obtain the irreversibility lines (IL) in the (h(ac), T ) plane. The deviation of IL from linearity below a critical field val ue h(c) is discussed and related to the dimensionality of the compoun d. The effects of the fabrication techniques are also discussed.
