Chromosomes of Hemidactylus mabouia (2n=42) from the states of Paraiba
and Sao Paulo, Brazil, were studied by conventional and differential
staining (C- and R-banding and Ag-NORs). Most of the chromosomes are s
ubtelocentrics or acrocentrics, with gradation in size. Banding patter
ns and Ag-NORs location in H. mabouia are described here for the first
time.
