Abstract
The particulate collection efficiency of the Former Soviet Union airbo rne dust sampler was assessed by operating it in parallel with the sta ndard U.S. high-volume (TSP) sampler at University of Washington campu s in Seattle, Washington. The overall collection efficiencies of the t wo samplers were compared. At the test site, the Former Soviet Union s ampler underestimated the concentration of urban airborne particulate matter by a factor of three as measured by the colocated U.S. TSP samp ler.
