Abstract
Equilibrium resonant tunneling between an array of quasi-one-dimension al wires and two-dimensional electron gas has been studied as a functi on of the Fermi energy of the tunneling electrons, which was varied by the bias voltage applied to an in-built back gate, The equilibrium re sonant tunneling differential conductance, measured in the double quan tum well system, reflects both the electron density and wave functions of the one-dimensional electron gas.
