Abstract
The isoelectronic, pyramidal tellurite anions Te(N(t)Bu)(2)(E(t)Bu)(-) (E = O, NH) have been structurally characterized in the centrosymmetr ic dimers [K(THF)-Te(N(t)Bu)(2)(O(t)Bu)](2) 3 . 2THF, and {[LiTe(N(t)B u)(2)(NHt-Bu)]2LiCl}(2), 4, respectively. Complex 3 is prepared by the reaction of (t)BuNTe(mu-N(t)Bu)(2)TeN(t)Bu with KOt-Bu in toluene, wh ile 4 is formed by the treatment of [Li2Te(N(t)Bu)(3)](2) with HCl gas .
