Primary intrathoracic liposarcoma is an extremely rare neoplasm in the
pediatric age group. we report an unusual case of a 3-year-old boy wh
o presented with a large intrathoracic tumor arising from the right ch
est wall. Biopsy showed a pleomorphic sarcoma with histological, immun
ohistochemical, and ultrastructural features of pleomorphic liposarcom
a. The tuner displayed an aggressive clinical behavior, and the patien
t continued to have recurrences despite rigorous chemotherapy and radi
ation treatment. He subsequently died 2 years after the initial diagno
sis.
