Abstract
Six linear clusters [Et(1)N](2)[M(2)M'S4O4] (M = Mo, W; M' = Co, Ni, F e) were prepared and characterized by means of UV-Vis, IR and XPS spec tra. By comparing and studying the spectra, the d electron configurati on, valence of central metal M' and the micro-environment of [M'S-4] a re discussed, Based on this, tile configuration of anion of the cluste rs was inferred and the stability of the clusters was discussed.
