MOVS(Metal oxide vapour synthesis) method for preparation of heterogen
eous catalysts was described, The MoO3 based MOVS catalysts exhibited
much higher activities compared to the analogous non-MOVS catalysts re
spectively in partial oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde, synthesis
of higher alcohols or quinoline HDN. The relationship between the cat
alytic behavior and intrinsic properties of MOVS catalysts and some as
pects for application of the MOVS method were also discussed.
