Abstract
In consideration of the similarity of insoluble monolayers and soluble monolayers, a molecular interaction parameter(beta) was introduced to describe the nonideality of the mixed insoluble monolayers. From the surface pressure-area isotherms of ''6201''/C18SO4Na mixtures , a high molecular interaction parameter which was closed to the critical valu e 2. 0 was obtained, which has further verified the previous guess tha t a phase separation rook place at a higher surface pressure.
