Jt. Varkey et al., FLOW BEHAVIOR OF NATURAL RUBBER EPOXIDIZED NATURAL-RUBBER LATEX BLENDS/, Polymer-plastics technology and engineering, 35(1), 1996, pp. 1-11
A study on the flow behavior of blends of natural rubber (NR) and epox
idized natural rubber (ENR) latices was carried out using a Contraves
viscometer. The effects of blend ratio, shear rate, and temperature on
the flow properties were determined, The viscosities of the blends sh
owed negative deviation from additivity. Unlike the homopolymer latice
s, the viscosities of the blends increased with increase of temperatur
e. Blends are found to be less pseudoplastic than homopolymers.
