Abstract
Speciation of selenium compounds was performed using HPLC-ICP/AES. Ion -exchange chromatography was used to separate inorganic selenium speci es (selenite and selenate) and selenoaminoacids (selenomethionine and selenocystine). The influence of parameters such as pH, composition of the mobile phase and nature of the stationary phase was investigated. A separation of four selenium compounds was achieved within 15 min.
