An effective technique for computation of the electron density and spi
n magnetic moment in a ferromagnet, based on the relativistic Korringa
-Kohn-Rostoker method, is developed and realized. The calculation form
ulae are derived using the Hellmann-Feynman theorem and perturbation t
heory for matrices. The influence of spin-orbit interaction on the for
mation of the electron spectrum as well as the problem of compatibilit
y of electron states are discussed. The electron density and spin mome
