Abstract
This paper describes a convenient method for mounting fibres for proce ssing and embedding. Prior to processing, the fibres are mounted acros s windows in acetate frames. These frames protect the fibres from impa ct damage during processing, keep the fibres straight, and make alignm ent of the fibres for sectioning simple and accurate, The frames are p roduced using purpose-built devices which are also described in this p aper.
