4-COLOR PHOTOMETRY OF ECLIPSING BINARIES .37. LIGHT CURVES OF THE B-TYPE SYSTEM V539-ARAE

Accurate uvby light curves of the southern, detached, double-lined ecl ipsing binary V539 Ara (HR 6622A, HD 161783, V = 5.(m)71, B3V + B4V, P = 3.(d)17) are presented. They contain 1409 observations in each colo ur, collected 1982-1984. Typical mean errors are 0.003-0.004 mag. Obse rvations for 8 additional times of minima from 1985-1994 are included. The secondary component belongs to the group of slowly pulsating B (o r SPB) stars. An analysis of V539 Ara based on the new photometry and the spectroscopic orbit by Andersen (1983) is published separately (Cl ausen 1995).
