The genera Microdonia and Ecitoxenidia are redescribed and illustrated
. Keys are provided for the identification of all known species. Micro
donia jacobsoni is described from Chiapas, Mexico where it is found wi
th Neivamyrmex sumichrasti. M. mexicana is described from San Luis Pot
osi, 3 km E. Xilitla, Mexico where it is also associated with N. sumic
hrasti Ecitoxenidia ashei is described from Puebla, 4.7 km W. Nicholas
Brave, Mexico where It is found with N. texanus. This is the first re
cord of any myrmecophile associated with that species of ant. New Cost
a Rican, Mexican, and U.S. localities are provided for some of the oth
er species.
