Abstract
The synthesis of a new class of zwitterionic aryliodonium compounds fr om 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinone and [(hydroxy) (tosyloxy)iodo]arenes is described. These dipoles exhibit an interesting reactivity under therm al and photochemical conditions.
