The reactions of electrochemical cyclotrimerization of C-H acids, as w
ell as electrochemical cyclocondensation of C-H acids and carbonyl com
pounds into corresponding, functionally substituted cyclopropanes, are
found. The general method of electrochemical cyclization of esters of
alpha,alpha,omega,omega-alkanetetracarboxylic acids is realized. Unde
r the effect of catalytic amounts of alkoxy anions, tetracyanocyclopro
panes are quantitatively transformed into corresponding, bicyclic pyrr
olines.
