Abstract
A new technique for high quality acoustic echo cancellation in telecon ference and speaker phone systems has been developed. The new echo can celer is based on an enhanced adaptive filtering algorithm and uses a spread-spectrum-based technique to mitigate the effects of double talk . The test facility used to develop this new acoustic echo canceler an d the system design of echo canceler are described. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
