Abstract
We have investigated the radiative electron capture process in collisi
ons of electrons with metal clusters, at an electron energy sufficient
for excitation of the giant collective resonance in the target cluste
r. We have demonstrated that accounting for the dynamical polarizabili
ty of the cluster plays an essential role giving rise to a new kind of
giant resonance in the cross section for radiative capture.
