G. Vulsteke et al., INFLUENCE OF CULTIVAR AND LOW QUANTITY OF WATER ON DISEASE-CONTROL INSCORZONERA, Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenkrankheiten und Pflanzenschutz, 102(6), 1995, pp. 586-592
During 1988-1991, trials on disease control were investigated with Sco
rzonera cv. 'Keukenfee', a low sensitive cultivar to Erysiphe and 'Fla
ndria', a sensitive cultivar. The mixture bitertanol + chlorothalonil
(225 + 1500 g/ha a.s.) was applied with different doses of water, nl.
1000, 500 and 100 1 per ha. 'Keukenfee' is little sensitive in compari
son with 'Flandria'. Between the three spray-mixtures, differences in
activity against white rust and powdery mildew were not observed. The
different quantities of water did nor cause clear differences in yield
and quality. A high saving of costs has been obtained by the use of a
less susceptible cultivar to Erysiphe.
