Information derived from the analysis of the electrocardiographic wave
form remains one of the most valuable diagnostic aids in modern cardio
logy. Paradoxically, although changes in the ST-T segment probably hav
e the widest clinical application, it is the analysis of this repolari
zation phase that has been surrounded by the greatest difficulties in
interpretation.
