Abstract
As aerial traffic becomes greater, it is more difficult to locate and recognise aircraft in the neighbourhood of civil airports. The techniq ue proposed here resorts to a particular device, monopulse radar, and to a recent tool called the independent component analysis (ICA) to se parate messages falling in the same radar beam. The algorithms used to compute the ICA use fourth-order cumulants of the observed signals.
