Abstract
The electrical conductivity tensor of the double quantum wells in the magnetic field parallel to the layers is calculated. The system of kin etic equations for the tunnel-coupled electron states is analyzed for the case of elastic scattering. The anisotropic suppression of the tun nel coupling and deformation of the Fermi surface by the magnetic fiel d give rise to the complex magnetic field dependence of the conductivi ty tensor. The anisotropy of conductivity, as well as the negative mag netoresistance due to suppression of the resonant tunnel coupling in t he structures with nonsymmetrical distributions of scatterers, are des cribed. The results of the calculations are in agreement with the expe rimental data.
