Abstract
Oxazolidinones have been synthesized from the reaction of N-Boc deriva tives of beta-amino alcohols with TsCl or MsCl. Basic reaction conditi on is not necessary to the formation of oxazolidinone from the tosylat ed intermediate. On the other hand, oxazolidinone was produced from N- Boc derivative of beta-amino alcohol under NaH.
