Abstract
Two extraction procedures were used for the preparation of the O-Chain polysaccharide of Brucella abortus 1119-3. The high yield method gave an average of 2% but it took a time of two weeks. The method showing a lower yield, 1.3%, had less steps in the procedure and needed only t wo days. Both methods produced extracts with the same level of purity.
