Abstract
A computational model for the calculation of the vibrational (Raman an d infrared) spectra of isolated structural units of SiO4 tetrahedra wi th different degree of Si-O-Si bridging, angles and topological disord er is developed. Numerical results for the isotropic Raman spectra of planar and puckered rings of regular SiO4 tetrahedra of order n = 3, 4 , 5, 6 and 7 are reported.
