D. Blondeau et al., METHACRYLIC COPOLYMERS PREPARED BY THE ULTRASOUND METHOD - CHIRAL HPLC AND GC APPLICATIONS, Reactive & functional polymers, 27(3), 1995, pp. 175-185
Methacrylic macroporous copolymers were synthesized for HPLC and GC ap
plications. Preparation of polymers for chiral ligand exchange chromat
ography has been studied. Comparisons with previous chromatographic ap
plications have been done. Results show that improvement of physical c
haracteristics of polymers (specific area and pore volume) improves th
e separation of enantiomers. Very polar stationary phases for GC were
prepared for separation of freons. The chromatographic results proved
that polar phases are very selective for this kind of compounds. Separ
ation can be accomplished even though retention times are short.
