Abstract
The enzyme/cofactor system e/2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-s ulfonic acid) catalyzes the oxidation of benzyl alcohols to the corres ponding benzaldehydes by molecular oxygen. The reaction proceeds under physiological conditions to yield the products quantitatively.
